plays@3

One day, one space, one play

Every month, BOLD is offering a free rehearsal space for a company/director/writer - the opportunity to rehearse and hear a new play out loud. Whether you’re a director bringing in a play or the writer yourself, this is a chance to put a finished draft of a new piece on its feet and see how it sounds. The day starts with a rehearsal and ends with a relaxed 3pm sharing, giving you the chance to test ideas with an audience and gather valuable feedback. A light-touch, daytime version of our Playwrights Play Night — supportive, low-pressure, and focused on creative exploration.

Each event is selected entirely by lottery — offering an open, accessible opportunity for artists to share new work. Once selected, creators confirm their commitment to presenting their piece, and the project is officially announced.

Applications for this first round will be open from Friday 31st October until Midnight on the 7th November.

We are offering space on Tuesday 25th November. That’s TUESDAY 25TH NOVEMBER, so make sure you are free that day before you apply.
