joy: AN EVENING OF PERFORMANCE CURATED BY THE CHEKHOV COLLECTIVE

Doors open from 6.30pm / Tickets from £4.00

Festival of Joy is an evening of work in progress from the The Chekhov Collective community, presented in partnership with Bold Theatre. Bringing together a range of artists—many of whom are also leading teachers and practitioners—the event offers a chance to experience new performance as it is being made.

The programme features a mix of theatre, music, text, and audio work, spanning absurd comedy, solo performance, vocal composition, and interdisciplinary sound. Highlights include new work by Gretchen Egolf, Jeremy Finch White and Funlola Olufunwa, Deborah Garvey, Katja Hilevaara, and You-Ri Yamanaka.

Rooted in the work of Michael Chekhov, this is a space where performance is tested, reshaped, and shared live. Expect bold ideas, unexpected forms, and the energy of work still in motion.

With a pay-what-you-can ticket, audiences are invited to step inside the creative process and experience something raw, playful, and VERY in the moment.
