Plays@3

Each month, BOLD offers a free rehearsal space for a company, director, or writer to develop a new play. The day ends with a relaxed 3pm sharing, giving you the chance to test ideas with an audience and get valuable feedback. A light-touch, daytime version of our Playwrights Play Night — supportive, low-pressure, and designed to fit around evening shows.

We invite a small, supportive audience to come and take part and as someone who's attended BOLD events before, we'd love for you to join. This event is free but there are limited places.

Crazy Fucking Lesbians by Anjelica Angwin

“I’m so over strong female characters and giving voice to the marginalised experience.”

Crazy Fucking Lesbians is a Twilight fan fiction turned psychological thriller about lust, longing and codependence. When a lovestruck superfan crashes Kristen Stewart's film premiere at the BFI, what begins as a Twilight-inflected will-they-won't-they fantasy spirals into a hot, heavy and very unprofessional romance. They say never meet your heroes, but nobody says you shouldn’t try to fuck them.Part Girls set in East London, part Single White Female, with the ambition of High Art, this is a play about taking the dangerous love stories we’re fed as teenage girls and cracking them open. It’s a play about ruining your idol's marriage, calling it love and the terrifying thrill of taking the lead.
