The Tuesday Night Group hosted by BOLD Elephant presents:
RESET
Doors open from 6.30pm
Tickets from £5.00 with an option to pay it forward to BOLD (HELP US BUY A LAPTOP)!
It’s the Tuesday Night Group’s 3 rd Birthday!! Come and celebrate with us! Reset is an offshoot of the Tuesday Night acting gym at which a community of actors meets weekly to cold-read scenes and redirect each other. The work is playful, bold (no pun) and exciting to watch. We want to share some of it!
Part 1: Cast Arrive A few of our regular members will be given their scenes and a short time in which to get them on their feet.
Part 2: Audience Arrive In the bar there will be two boxes each with a redirection prompt. You’ll submit suggested redirections to the boxes!
Part 3: The Show The cast will present their first take of their scene to the audience. We will then pull a couple redirections from each box and the audience vote on which note to give the actors! Not hard enough for the actors? There’s always the Big Red Button…
About The Tuesday Night Group: Three years ago, recent graduates from Oxford School of Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland began meeting weekly to practise our craft together. The community has grown to include almost 300 actors who drop in, more or less regularly,to warm-up, sight-read, explore scenes and combat the isolation we can often feel as actors in London. The night is affordable through the generosity of Bold Elephant and a handful of voluntary admins who keep everything running from week to week. The group was founded by Madeleine Price, Catriona Stirling, Aiyana Bartlett and Nisha Emich.
